A warlike God strictly associated with military conquests, with Kingship, with the Royal Ancestors, and with the Netherworld, Upuaut (the name means “Opener of the ways”) is the Wolf-God whose seat of worship is Lykopolis (Asyut) in middle Egypt. Upuaut is connected and also identified with Anubis, Horus, and Ra (in the form of Upuaut-Ra).
